액티비전 코리아로 회사 이름이 바뀐 CSR. 게임은 한글화되지 않았다. 정말 다행이다. 매뉴얼만 봐도 아직까지 "예나 지금이나" 수준.

게임의 배경 설명 부분을 인용하면:
"세이비어 학교의 콜러널 윌리암 스티리커는 셀레브로를 형성하고 있는 두 가지 주요 구성품을 획득하게 됩니다. 한가지는 엑스맨들의 유전자 정보 및 그들의 식별 시스템입니다. 이러한 장치를 가지고 스티리커는 아직은 미완성이지만 악의의 목적으로 사용하기 위해 셀레브로를 작동시킵니다. 엑스맨들로 구성된 정의의 힘은 납치된 아이들을 구출해 내며, 스티리커의 계획을 방해합니다. 엑스맨들 또한 많은 것을 잃었습니다. 그들의 친구들, 교수들, 동료 등. 특히 진 그레이의 경우 그녀의 목숨을 희생해 가며, 엑스맨이 위기에서 탈출하여 인간과 돌연변이가 함께 잘 살 수 있는 세상을 만들기 위하여 찰스 세이비어의 빔을 운반하게 됩니다.

나이트 크라울러는 또 뭐냐?
앞뒤가 없는 글들을 발로 나열해 놓은 것인지 당췌 납득이 가지 않는 문장과 문장의 나열. 뭐, 그래도 따지고 보면, CoD2나 더 무비에 비하면 비교적 말처럼 보이는 글이 몇 개 있어 발전은 있어 보이는데..

다행히도, 원문 매뉴얼이 CD에 있는 것을 찾아냈다. 정말 다행이다.

도입부의 원문:

Colonel William Stryker,™ in a daring raid on the Xavier School for Gifted
Youngsters, acquired two core components of Cerebro, the X-Men’s Mutant
Tracking and their Identification System, as well as taking hostage a handful
of the student body. With these components Stryker was able to create a
crude but working version of Cerebro, for his own dark purposes. A combined
strike force consisting of the X-Men™ and the Brotherhood™ were able to
retrieve the kidnapped children, and halt Stryker’s plans in the offing. This
victory was not without its price, as the X-Men were forced to pay in the most
precious coin of all. Friend, teacher, colleague and more, Jean Grey sacrificed
her life so the X-Men could escape and carry on Charles Xavier’s dream of
peaceful co-existence between human- and mutant-kind.

Now, the X-Men must journey back to Alkali Lake for the missing Cerebro

이거 정말 심하다. 영어를 이제 막 배우기 시작한 사람한테 번역하라고 시켰나보다. 문법도 모르는 사람이 했나보다. 중학생 수준의 문법 아닌가? as well as? 도입부에 가장 먼저 눈에 띄는 말도 안되는 부분만 양쪽에 밑줄을 그어 봤다. 그 뒤는 .. 뭐.. 에.. 차라리 번역기가 나을 듯.
